Product Care Guide

At Five Thirty Somewhere, we take pride in crafting high-quality garments using ethical fabrics and dyes. Proper care and maintenance of your clothing can help ensure that they remain beautiful and durable for years to come.
Every garment comes with a wash care tag, please follow the instructions mentioned on the same.

Below are some wash and care instructions :

1. Dry Clean Only:

- Our garments come with a "Dry Clean Only" tag, indicating that they are best cared for by professional dry cleaning.

- We recommend dry cleaning your garments as infrequently as possible, and only when necessary to preserve their shape, color, and integrity, as it can cause wear and tear on the fabric over time.

2. Hand Wash for Solids:

- If your garment is a solid color, you may choose to hand wash it instead of dry cleaning.

- Use a mild detergent and cold water to gently wash the garment.

- Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.

- Lay the garment flat to dry on a clean towel, away from direct sunlight or heat.

3. Dry Clean for Mixed Colors:

- If your garment features a mix of colors or delicate fabrics, it is best to opt for dry cleaning to prevent color bleeding or damage to the fabric.

- Take your garment to a reputable dry cleaner who specializes in handling delicate fabrics and natural dyes.

4. No Bleaching:

- Avoid bleaching your garments, as bleach can damage the natural dyes and affect the color and texture of the fabric.

- If stain removal is necessary, spot treat the affected area with a mild detergent or stain remover and gently dab with a clean cloth.

5. Storage:

- Store your garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

- Use padded hangers to prevent stretching and distortion of the fabric.

- Avoid storing garments in plastic bags or containers, as this can trap moisture and lead to mildew or mold growth.

6. Ironing:

- If necessary, iron your garments on a low heat setting or use a steamer to remove wrinkles.

- Always iron on the reverse side of the fabric to prevent damage to the color or texture.

7. Environmental Considerations:

- We encourage you to consider the environmental impact of your garment care practices. Whenever possible, opt for eco-friendly dry cleaners and detergents, and avoid unnecessary dry cleaning.

Essential information:

-All our fabrics are dyed using AZO free dyes. Some darker colors are prone to bleeding in the first 2-3 washes.

-All our products are pre washed at the fabric stage so no shrinkage should be observed. We still recommend washing with cold water as heat may shrink a natural fabric.

-Fabric slubs, isolated threads and perceived gaps are due to the handwoven nature of the fabric and that is essentially the beauty of it. If they don't exist, the fabrics aren't handwoven and don't deserve the price on the label. All the handwoven fabrics get better with every wash.

-Variations and irregularities in the products are an integral characteristic of the hand made process and naturally acquired raw materials. They add to the uniqueness of the product and are not a defect.

By following these care instructions, you can help ensure that your Five Thirty Somewhere garments remain beautiful and timeless for years to come.
